What is IPCop?

IPCop is a Linux distribution designed to act as a router/firewall. It will work on a wide range of hardware, and is extremely easy to setup. Once running, IPCop is controled through a web-interface.

The required files and installation instructions are available on the official IPCop website.

Additional: The hardware specifications are very low, I have this running on a PII 450 Compaq Deskpro EN I had lying about - almost overkill for the IPCop server. A 10GIG drive is more than enough to enable logging if needed. The only issue I have come accross is that the box drops the connection and refuses to reconnect with out a reboot every 30-40 days, it's not severe enough for me to investigate why.
